Rogue Women Running

Trail Running & Wellness Retreat

Dog Creek Lodge, MT October 9-12, 2025

  • Adventure

Dog Creek Lodge sits on 80 acres surrounded by Stillwater National Forest and overlooking Dog Lake, with miles of trails both private and public.

On arrival Thursday you’ll have the opportunity for a self-guided meander through the private trail network before dinner. Friday and Saturday we will climb in the van with Alpine Running Guides and explore the mountains of Whitefish, Montana. Our exact routes are TBD depending on the group and the weather. Sunday will also have an opportunity for a pre-brunch self-guided run or yoga.

And weather-dependent, there’s always time for swimming or paddle-boarding at the lake, making s’mores, or gazing into the Montana sky.

  • Learning

As rogue women, we run for many reasons. This weekend, we will build resilience, find space in our minds, and develop our connections to one another as we explore aspects of physical, emotional, and social well-being both on and off the trails.

Your retreat facilitators, Audrey Elias, PT, PhD, OCS and Jennifer Bell, PT, ScD, COMT, are both physical therapists and educators focused on appreciating and exploring complexity while also simplifying how we think about achieving our goals, leading with intention, and living a healthy, satisfying, community-oriented life. Cody Moore, RD will also facilitate discussions around nutrition (while also providing fabulous meals).

  • Retreat

Home base is Dog Creek Lodge, in Olney, MT, about 20 miles north of Whitefish. Lodging, meals, and snacks from Thursday dinner to Sunday brunch are included. Both private rooms and shared bunk rooms are available. We will spend most of our learning time in the main lodge, with its wood stoves and fireplaces warming cozy couches and dining areas. The guest lodge, with our private suites and bunk rooms, is a 20 foot walk from the main lodge.

All meals are prepared by our in-house chef and registered dietician, Cody Moore, RD. We honor any food sensitivities or dietary preferences. While we don’t provide alcohol, please feel free to bring your own!

Cancellation Policy

Please note that because Trailhead Learning Collective courses are limited to a small number of attendees, our cancellation policy is in place to help our attendees, our partners, and us alike to share expenses that may arise from unexpected cancellations. Due to the advanced nature of our bookings, we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation policy. Mountain weather and trail conditions are often variable; trips are not cancelled due to weather or conditions.

  1. Full payment is required at time of registration. If you withdraw from the retreat more than 90 days before the start of the retreat, you may either transfer your registration to another retreat within 1 year, or receive a refund minus a $200 processing fee.

  2. In the event of withdrawal with at least 30 days notice before the start of the course, you may either transfer your registration to another course within 1 year, or receive a 50% refund.

  3. Requested cancellation within 30 days of the start of the course is not eligible for any refund or transfer.

We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Unexpected events do arise and travel insurance is very reasonable. Insurance on a $2000 adventure course will cost between $95 and $1250 depending on age. There are many good travel insurance providers, but we recommend AXA Insurance as a good option.
